Coaches and Former Debaters

The following positions are open for students who have finished their HS debate careers. Previous involvement with Beyond Resolved is neither expected nor required.

Advisory Board

We will be selecting 5 applicants to serve on the advisory board. 

Qualifications:

  • Participated in debate as a competitor or coach
  • Passion for social justice in the community!

Expectations:

  • Attend an hour long call with the cabinet every other week
  • Review anonymous concerns about BR and address them with the cabinet
  • Select recipients for BR’s tournament scholarships
  • Receive BR’s public notifications

Alum Council

We will match Alum Council members with a project, chapter, or initiative of their choice to help advise and develop.

Qualifications:

  • Participated in debate as a competitor or coach
  • Passion for social justice in the community!

Expectations:

  • Time commitment won’t be more than an hour/week, unless you choose to be more involved with your project.
  • You will be assigned a specific project to advise. You aren’t in-charge of it, but you would provide guidance for students who reach out to you.
