NEW YORK CITY WOMXN IN DEBATE MEETUP!!!

Hi!

A couple of wonderful people had the idea to host a brunch/meetup/networking opportunity for womxn in PF debate who are in/around NYC– as long as you can get here we’re happy to have you! This is an opportunity for girls and non-binary people, who are too often excluded from their teams (and the debate community at large), to come together, discuss issues that affect girls at all levels, and support each other no matter where they are in their debate career. Whether you’ve only gone to one local tournament, or you’ve reached late elimination rounds at tournaments across the country– we value your experience and perspective and strongly encourage you to come!

We’re going to do some fun bonding activities, share tournament/team war stories, eat some good food, wear some cool shirts and have a great time!

This will be February 24th at Brookfield Place (at 12 PM), which is accessible by subway (E to World Trade Center, A, C to Chambers St., 2, 3 to Park Place, N, R trains to Cortland St., and 4, 5 to Fulton St) and has parking nearby. We’ll send more details to people who sign up over text / email / facebook messager– whatever’s most convenient. If you need help with navigation/need to travel with someone, we’re happy to help you work something out!

Absolutely anyone who identifies as femxle or nonbinary and does PF is welcome to attend!
